Unmesh Pawar steps down as Global MD Human Resources, Accenture

After working with Accenture for seventeen years, Unmesh Pawar has decided to exit the company. He shared this news on social networking site Facebook earlier today- news article by Abid Hasan.

Unmesh Pawar, Global Managing Director, Human Resources at Accenture has decided to move on from the company. He announced this development on social media website Facebook.

His post says, “It’s been an extraordinary ride the last 17 years that I have been here now. Seems yesterday that I came on board to do the startup for Accenture’s Tech capability in India. The firm was merely 70k people globally with revenues of $10.2bn back then in early 2001. Today it stands a towering $34.9bn with 435k people across 200 cities. In these years I have had a rare chance to work across our different businesses in HR Leadership roles with the smartest business and HR leaders I have ever met. I have had the opportunity to partner in building people capabilities that truly made a difference for our customers across the world. What could be more thrilling?

For those who have followed my career journey know how much I love Accenture, the pride in what we have created here and most of all, the people. I will forever be grateful for all the amazing people I got to meet and work with, for all the things I learned about myself on my leader journey. Thank you for teaching and inspiring me, and allowing me to do the same for you. It’s been an honour to be part of this great company!!!!!

Those of you who have worked with me know, I am at my best when helping people, teams, functions, organizations, societies transform to get to their potential. I plan to spend some quality time with the family that I have missed out on. My next big adventure I am sure is lurking somewhere around the corner in the interim I will continue to use my learnings to coach leaders, start-ups and enable corporates in building their Human Capital capabilities. Watch this space.”
